Capt. Brass and Sofia are on pursuit with other police cars of a car with suspects and the criminals shoots at the police offices with automatic weapons. When their car overturns, there is an intense shootout and in the end, three criminals and the police officer Daniel Bell are killed. The police officers also find a teenage student shot in the back a few blocks away and his bicycle missing. With the hostile population of the poor neighborhood lying to the press saying that the police officers executed the suspects and the father of the wounded teenager pressing the police, the CSI team needs to investigate a long area and retrieve several bullets to prove the truth. Meanwhile Brass and Sofia are investigated whether they accidentally shot officer Bell.
"A Bullet Runs Through It: Part 1" is a great episode of "CSI", with the entire team working to find and prove the truth about a shootout. The most impressive for those who live like me in a Third World country is the behavior of poor population. They blame and accuse the police of killing innocent and unarmed suspects, using the yellow press and public outcry to promote their usually lies. Who killed Bell is the great question of this episode since it was a friendly fire that murdered him. My vote is eight.
