The Cook and the Stripper
claudio_carvalho17 October 2022
When four Thailand's Buddhist monks are found shot in the forehead between their eyes, Grisson, Sara and Nick investigate the case. Grissom finds a gang symbol carved on the wall, but no golden piece stolen. Nick finds a rifle in the temple and Detective Ray O'Riley interviews the monk Ananda that survived the massacre because he was at the bank by the time of the murders. Then he interviews the cook David Suddahara that tells that the temple is open all the time. Grissom requests photos from the military satellite to identify who was in the area of the temple. The CSI finds a car that belongs to a Peter Hutchins, who owns a nearby diner that believes the temple has responsible for his drop of business. He and his son become prime suspects. Meanwhile, Catherine decides to reopen the case of her friend, the stripper Stephanie Watson, who was murdered when she was a dancer. Her former mentor Jimmy Tadero, incriminated the criminal Dwight Kelso that went to prison. But now that he is dying in the hospital, he admits killing a man in Reno, but denied killing Stephanie. Now Catherine summons Warrick to revisit the case together.

"Felonious Monk" is a good episode of "CSI" with two complicated cases. The main one is about the stupid murder of four monks and the monk that survived omitting information to the police and to the CSI, misleading the investigators. Catherine digging a case from the past after watching a dying criminal telling on TV that he was framed and did not kill her friend is a solid part of the development of her character. The conclusion of both cases is satisfactory, even with the unsolved case. My vote is seven.

CSI:Crime Scene Investigation-Felonious Monk
Scarecrow-8824 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Four monks are shot between the eyes with a gang symbol etched into the wall. Gum, a boot print, curry powder, paint from a paint ball gun, and a truck license plate photographed from a satellite could lead the CSI team to the one responsible. Catherine reopens the case of her striptease dancing friend just to tie up loose ends which might just involve her mentor. Blood on the murder weapon and gloves, the lack of photographic evidence, Catherine is tormented by the fact that the one who was a reason she was able to leave club dancing behind for a career in forensic pathology could have planted evidence that wrongfully convicted a man. This episode introduces us to a person from Catherine's past and how her work as a criminalist exposes the very one who helped her chart a successful career path. We see that Robert David Hall's chief medical examiner studied the Buddhist philosophy of the chakrahs and how the killer understood this which is why he chose to shoot the monks between the eyes. Pretty horrific crime in an episode which delves into Buddhism casting a positive light on the religion. This one has Bruce McGill(NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE)as Cat's mentor, Jimmy Tadero, Marshall Bell(A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET II) as the racist, Peter Hutchins Sr., Aaron Paul as his son, Peter Jr., and Mark Dascascos as the only Buddhist monk to survive from his temple.

A Senseless Killing
Hitchcoc9 January 2021
Four Buddhist monks from Thailand are found murdered, execution style, while at prayer. Their temple has been under siege many times as it sits in a seedy part of Las Vegas. The usual suspects are investigated, including a bigoted man and his son, who claim these people have affected their bottom line. Meanwhile, Catherine digs up a case from her past, after more sophisticated methods have shown there was probably planted evidence. Catherine's mentor seems to be in the middle of this, a man who taught her much of what she knows and whom she has admired greatly.
