When Cannon is driving up to Mr. Brock's office, and Coy comes out to greet him, there is a billboard for "Connie Stevens as The Sex Symbol" on the adjoining building. That movie aired in September 1974; it was a version of the life of Marilyn Monroe.
The title refers to the 1967 Simon and Garfunkel song that was part of the soundtrack of the Dustin Hoffman movie, The Graduate (1967).
