Frank Gorshin And Lana Turner Guest Star

Another great Season 1 show. There is a long Q&A. A Texas girl gives Carol a present of some shorts. Lyle comes out and asks to meet Lana Turner, Carol tells him to be a practical joker, she likes that. He comes out with glasses and a fake nose. Carol gives a man an autograph.

The first sketch is a funny VIP one with Carol spoofing Julia Child. She cooks and drinks a lot of wine and gets drunk.

Frank Gorshin sings a song about many ways to say I Love You. He goes into impressions of Charles Boyer, Boris Karloff, Joseph Cotton, Anthony Newley, James Cagney, Richard Burton and others while he sings to some models.

Lana Turner talk/sings a song to the tune of Greensleeves. She dances with some of the dancers. Lyle comes out in the glasses and nose, she kisses him.

A funny Carol & Sis sketch is next Carol and Roger argue with Chris in the middle. She talks of a man coming to interview them for a game show for happy married couples. The man is played by Dick Wilson (of Charmin commercials). Funny scenes as they pretend to be happy.

The Sound Of Murder is a spoof of Victorian murder mysteries. Gorshin is the husband looking to bump off his 13th wife (Carol). Lana is his lover. They try falling chandeliers, knives and guns but nothing works out. They then try poison and do the switching glasses routine.

Carol and Gorshin sing By The Sea in wet suits and flippers with the dancers.

Carol sings her theme and the guest sign her book.
