Caroline ends up going on a quiz show, only to be haunted by bad memories of a past mess up under pressure. She also gets stitched up by Julia, which makes us as an audience dislike her even more.
The writers have not really tried to make this character likable at all, so it's odd for us to believe that she is worthy of Richard's love, or that he is meant to be with her in the first place.
The B story involving Annie is fun, but again continuity goes out the window as another actor comes in playing her boyfriend, Seth, and much like Del's Dad previously, goes through a complete personality switch. It's a shame the writers changed his character, because the idea of Annie having a serious boyfriend lent itself to possibilities.
