It might be worth studying, but is American history worth loving?

"It was very fresh of you talking to a strange girl, but how would you meet her otherwise?" So says Madge Blake, the gregarious landlady of Australian immigrant Judith Braun who has taken up going on historical tours of Philadelphia with Arthur Franz who approaches her outside of Liberty Hall. As it turns out, she has a motivation for wanting to continue to see him, but it's not all shady as her feelings for him seems genuine. The trouble is, when she decides to be honest with him, he doesn't show up for her date. Braun is sweet, Franz mysterious and Blake bubbly. The idea of people meeting in sharing time together because of a shared interest in history certainly is interesting, but it's bittersweet. The episode that I found had vintage commercials, some with really fun animation. These commercials for DuPont are a lot longer than the standard 30 seconds to a minute, more like mini documentaries over how certain types of products can improve life.
