When Wellman follows Bosley and Ellen to the arcade (carousel), there is a large clock on the wall behind him. It is "trying" to read 2:40. That is, the minute hand is indeed on the "40," but the hour hand is dead on "2." It ought to be more than halfway between the "2" and the "3."
James Sikking (Lawrence Wellman) previously appeared as a different character in season two's Angels on Horseback (1977).
The Santa Monica Pier and carousel were previously used as a location in season two's The Sandcastle Murders (1978). Season four's Dancin' Angels (1980) also takes place on the Pier, as seen in the establishing shot at the start of that episode.
Dancer Tad Tadlock, who plays the waitress at the lunch counter on the pier, has more career credits as a choreographer than actor - including Dancin' Angels (1980) and Chorus Line Angels (1981).
As Bosley and Ellen get on the carousel - at 2:10, by a clock on the wall - each of their candy apples has had a single bite taken. A short time later the same clock shows 2:40, indicating they rode the carousel for thirty minutes. In this time, Ellen's apple has had only one more bite taken out of it and Bosley's appears to have been untouched. Both apples go into the trash on the couple's way out the door.
