- The agency is hired by Freddie Brander, a former jewel thief known as Freddie the Fox who Charlie once helped put away and who, in his retirement, is in the process of writing an autobiography about his cat burglar life. Freddie's current problem is that one of his former associates, Brewster McFarland, who after an injury which has resulted in him needing to walk with a cane and thus needs to associate with "muscle", a lowlife named Carl, to compensate, believes Freddie stole a priceless jewel called the Light of Arabia from a museum, and will torture and/or kill Freddie to get him to give it over. Freddie has heard that other criminals also believe he has it and will probably come after him. Freddie does know who stole it, a wealthy and ruthless player named Faris Salim, who is keeping it somewhere in his Caribbean island compound. So what Freddie wants the Angels and Bosley to do is help him steal the jewel back to return it to the museum, this story hopefully which will be closing chapter in his book. As such, Freddie and Sabrina go undercover as wealthy and haughty Lord and Lady Brander to be able to move within the same social circle as Salim once they get to the island, with Kelly, Kris and Bosley part of their entourage who will infiltrate Salim's life in other ways. Beyond the logistical problems of finding and retrieving the gem from its probable fortress, they will face further complications in that unknown to them McFarland and Carl have followed them to the island, and that Kris, entering Salim's life through his independent son, Ali Salim, who wants nothing to do with his father's way of life, may have problems reconciling her undercover role with her true mutual attraction to Ali.—Huggo
