Ed Brown says no to President Carter
kevinolzak8 July 2016
"Buenas Dias, Mr. President" was Julie Hill's fourth appearance as Monica, resulting in Raul becoming mostly an afterthought. Questions about Ed Brown are being asked by a pair of plainclothesmen, which makes Louie wander what The Man has been up to lately: "are you kidding, at my age anything I can still do is legal!" Louie tips them off as to Ed's identity: "Louie, Dr. Frankenstein is looking for you to provide you with a new brain!" The duo identify themselves as secret service agents, with news that President Jimmy Carter has decided to accept Raul's invitation to visit the barrio. Ed gets nervous when they announce that security checks will be conducted on him, his foster son, the boy's step sister, and his garbage man. The others are stunned at Ed's reaction: "there'll be one of them here every four years...I don't want every Tom, Dick, and Jimmy in here!" Needless to say, there's no sign of any Carters on display, but they do receive an empty can of Billy Beer!
