A thought provoking episode.

Dominic Collins is accused of murdering the newly born child of his fifteen year old daughter, his neighbour Mrs Hill gives strong evidence condemning his views, which are old fashioned, and primarily based on his religion.

This was always going to be a hard hitting episode based on the storyline alone.

Quite heavy going for daytime TV, I'm not even sure you'd see something like this on a night-time drama these days, it's a very bleak plot, I'm a little surprised it didn't get the chop in the shows rerun.

It's very good, it's one to get you thinking, not an episode that can simply be on in the background, you're forced to engage.

We get to learn a bit more about Mr Fry, he's always been a well rounded, consistent character, now we set what motivates him.

Robert Hartley, it could be easy to say he was over the top, and he is perhaps a little theatrical, but he put me in mind of a neighbour I had growing up, who was very religious, and always quoting The Bible, it'll be interesting to hear his side.

Rosemary Martin was very good as Mr Hill I thought, was there a bit of malice there?

8/10.
