The One Over, And Over...
taylorkingston29 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode. I think it's definitely one of my all-time favorite episodes from this season, and the entire series. Finally, the relationship I've been waiting seasons for starts to come out into the light. I thought it was going to be confusing or boring, because of the fact that the same events replay over, but it turned out to be surprisingly entertaining.

In this unusual episode, the same day is replayed over, and over from three different perspectives. Joey, and Pacey try to figure out a way to tell Dawson about their feelings for each other, and Dawson's reaction isn't the best, and by not the best, I mean it couldn't have gone worse. Meanwhile, Andie goes on a date with Will, but the date is ruined when she finds out about Joey, and Pacey's relationship.

Best part of the episode: Everything.

Worst part of the episode: Dawson's reaction.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

Dawson get the best storyline

Warning: Spoilers
I think Dawson's reaction is incredibly mature and absolutely polite. People arguing that his reaction is "the worst" obviously have never been there or have been witness of a similar situation. I've witnessed some real awful reactions to situations were the "triangle" wasn't ever real to begin with and it was all in one of the friend's minds. So I think the writers did a good job maintaining Dawson's maturity. I can relate with him as someone who was in a similar situation, but worst.

Joey's storyline is bad, a girl who can't find herself without a boyfriend by her side? A girl who can't have a male friend without falling for him? Quite sexist. And oh Jen is always given the bad storylines too.

I don't know why everyone "shipped" Joey and Pacey. The actors may have had chemistry because they dated irl, but actually they're good enough to make me believe in the chemistry with the Pacey/Andie relationship too. I would have bought Joey and Dawson if they wanted to sell it to me.

I think this is just teenage insecurities mixed with teenage lust so it doesn't make sense to me. It didn't make sense to me back then, but it depresses me now how the writers use the character of Joey as the "trophy".

Now I remember why I quit this show back then when I was a teenager myself. Also, because I started to live my own life.
