- Fallon Carrington Colby: You're even more beautiful and more ugly than that grand English lady I vaguely remember, and whom I've tried very hard to forget existed these past sixteen years.
- Alexis Carrington: I'm glad to see that your father had your teeth fixed; if not your tongue.
- [last lines]
- Blake Carrington: [to Krystle] I swear to you that after tomorrow if I'm freed, I'll be different.
- [walks to the door, then to himself]
- Blake Carrington: "If I'm freed." My God.
- Fallon Carrington Colby: Don't tell me about any papers. You've been around this outfit long enough to know what a signature means. It's a name on a piece of paper, and pieces of paper can be burned, torn, or shredded, or flushed down the toilet. Well, she could have come to see us if she really wanted to for a day or a week or a month even. But no, she picked this day to come back. And for only one reason, Steven, to dig Blake Carrington's grave.
- Fallon Carrington Colby: The jury is still out and the judge sequestered them for the night. Dinner, bed, and breakfast on the house. Not bad for a group of spectators at the Colosseum watching the lions and that she-lion tear my father apart.
- Andrew Laird: [about Alexis] She's really good, isn't she? Wait till I get her on the witness stand. I'm gonna tear her apart.
- Blake Carrington: There's not gonna be any cross examination.
- Blake Carrington: I did not premeditatedly kill Ted Dinard, I retained you to prove that. I expect you to do it.
- Andrew Laird: And if I don't? If I can't?
- Blake Carrington: 'Don't' and 'can't' are not in my vocabulary. You'll do it.
- Alexis Carrington: Blake, what you call filth, maybe a lie to you, but I still have it. When I'm ready, when I need a trump card, I'm going to play it.
- Jake Dunham: Would you state your full name, please?
- Alexis Carrington: Alexis Morell Carrington.
- Jake Dunham: And your residence?
- Alexis Carrington: I've been living in Acapulco for the past several years.
- Jake Dunham: You were the first wife of the defendant, Blake Carrington. You're the mother of his children, is that correct?
- Alexis Carrington: Yes, it is.
- Jake Dunham: And subsequently, of course, you were divorced?
- Alexis Carrington: Yes.
- Jake Dunham: When was this?
- Alexis Carrington: Sixteen years ago.
- Jake Dunham: Was it what you might term an amicable divorce, Mrs. Carrington?
- Alexis Carrington: No, it wasn't. It was what you might term an enforced divorce.
- Alexis Carrington: My husband came into the bedroom, and he... he found us together. He started shouting hideous words at me. And then he picked up a candlestick, a large, brass candlestick, and he started hitting Roger with it. He hit him on the head. He hit him on the chest. He nearly killed him.
- [Courtroom bursts into excited murmurs]
- Judge Horatio Quinlan: [banging his gavel] Order!
- Jake Dunham: Blake Carrington almost killed Roger Grimes.
- Alexis Carrington: Blake bought people off.
- Jake Dunham: "Bought people off"? What exactly do you mean by that, Mrs. Carrington?
- Alexis Carrington: He bought off a lawyer.
- [Andrew Laird scowls]
- Alexis Carrington: He bought off one of our servants who knew what had happened, and he promoted him to a lifetime membership in the Carrington household.
- [Joseph grimaces]
- Alexis Carrington: He even bought off Roger Grimes.
- Blake Carrington: [whispering to Andrew Laird] That's a lie. She's lying!
- Jake Dunham: Are you saying that Blake Carrington paid for the silence of everyone involved in this incident, including the victim?
- Alexis Carrington: Yes.
- Alexis Carrington: Blake wanted a divorce, and he bought me.
- Jake Dunham: You mean with a handsome yearly payoff?
- Alexis Carrington: Oh, well, there are those who might call it handsome. I called it obscene. You see, he forced me to sign a piece of paper.
- Jake Dunham: A "piece of paper"? What paper?
- Alexis Carrington: A neatly typed, cold document in which I was forced to promise that I would never see my children again.
- [first lines]
- Bailiff: Do you solemnly swear that all the testimony you may give before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?
- Alexis Carrington: Yes, I do.
- Fallon Carrington Colby: What's that supposed to mean?
- Steven Carrington: That your garbage about me doesn't matter, that doesn't matter anymore. But our mother, that lady tried to explain why she came back here. But you, you just transferred your garbage and you dumped it on her!
- Fallon Carrington Colby: Well, I finally seem to have found a career for myself after all these years of sweet, antesiptic indulgence. I'm Gertie the Garbageman... Or woman... Person... thing.
