With Rodenberry's star trek series and its off shoots this one is unusual not a space oddessy rather an alien race the guardians take over the planet and att we met to study humans and help them evolve. The protagonist Boone tries to serve Da" an the alien whom he be traced back throgh history to Akaneton of Egypt and the Buddha. The humans are not interested in the aliens altruistic engagement with the human race. It appears some leaders like Doors, are struggling to maintain power. The aliens companions limit the humans Mars mission which sets off more suspicion amongst the humans. Some of the military generals and an astronaut and abduct Da "an in oder to have power. It's a good show to watchand Rodenberry's concets are performed well. Not all the writing is good but it's still scify.
