- Archer and T'Pol travel back in time to Detroit in 2004 to stop three Xindi-Reptilians from constructing a bioweapon.
- 2004, Detroit. Loomis works at a blood bank and he's doing something rather shady. He kidnaps people and delivers them to someone who keeps a low profile for money. In the 22nd century Archer gets an unexpected visit from crewman Daniels, the time traveler. He tells three Xindi Reptilians have traveled back in time to Earth. He tells conflict between the Humans and Xindi is already a corruption of the time line and these Reptilians must be stopped to prevent further corruption. Archer takes T'Pol to travel back to Earth in 2004.—Arnoud Tiele (imdb@tiele.nl)
- Temporal Agent Daniels (Matt Winston) informs Captain Archer that three Reptilians have traveled back in time to Detroit, Michigan, to the year 2004, where they intend to produce a bio-weapon to annihilate humans. History has no mention of a conflict between humans and the Xindi, so someone is trying to change the time-line. The Xindi Council had banned the use of bio-weapons, forcing the Reptilians to take extraordinary measures. Daniels sends Archer and Sub-Commander T'Pol back in time to investigate, and provides Archer with temporal tags, allowing them to bring back anything not belonging in 2004 to their own time-line.
Using a hand scanner, Archer is able to steal a vehicle, and T'Pol locates the Xindi bio-signs leading them to an abandoned factory on Carpenter Street. They notice Loomis (Leland Orser), a blood bank employee, exiting the building. Loomis is working for the reptilians by bringing them humans that they can experiment on.. He chooses specimens like whores and derelicts, whom nobody would miss. Loomis had promised to supply 8 humans with specific blood types, but is getting nervous as cops are getting missing persons complaints. the Xindi promise him double the money for the last 2 humans ($5K earlier, $10K for the last 2), but he has one day to deliver.
Suspecting something, they follow him home. Loomis reveals that he thinks he is working for a terrorist, but insists that the 6 humans he has delivered are all OK and alive. After he tries to escape, T'Pol uses the Vulcan nerve pinch to stop him. When he awakes, he believes that Archer and T'Pol are police officers, and requests a lawyer. Archer punches him, and he admits delivering six bodies to his mysterious employers, each one for a different blood type. Archer comes up with a plan, and decides to pose as one of the victims.
After being delivered by Loomis, Archer realizes that they are developing some sort of a bio-weapon. Archer finds the Xindi lab where they are testing the bio-weapon on all the acquired blood types and making adjustments to maximize its potency. Archer begins destroying their technology, and kills one of the three Reptilians (while also destroying their temporal displacement device, due to which the reptilians cant return to their time-line now). Two others try to escape with the deadly bio-agent, and Archer kills another one as they flee. The last Xindi (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) escapes due to the interference of Loomis, who T'Pol stuns with her phaser.
On the factory's roof, Archer corners the last reptilian as he attempts to release the bio-agent into the atmosphere.. Archer tries to find out why the Xindi tried to deploy a 2nd weapon, but the Reptillian simply tries to detonate the warhead and Archer shoots him down, and deactivates the warhead. Archer and T'Pol tag all non-21st-century artifacts (including the Xindi and their lab equipment), and return to Enterprise. Loomis, still groggy in his car, is apprehended by real police officers and attempts to explain the "lizard people" and their "ray guns."
