After Mark Wahlberg's cameo in the pilot and Val Kilmer playing a stoner in Episode 5, it's time for Gary Busey to rip his own image to pieces. Wait, Busey who? some might say, and in all fairness it's hard to blame them: the poor fella is best known for playing the psychotic Mr. Joshua in the first Lethal Weapon, with few other memorable flicks on his CV.

Anyway, he doesn't show up until the second half of the episode: the first half is occupied by Drama meeting his new agent Adam Davies (Jordan Belfi) and Eric wondering whether Ari can do his job as well as he's supposed to, considering zero efforts have been made to get Queens Boulevard off the ground. After that, the gang attends an art show where Busey, portrayed as a bit of a retard, is the star until Turtle destroys one of his sculptures, then it's off to the beach party hosted by Josh Weinstein, who is revealed to be one of Ari's former assistants. Bet that doesn't sit well with Mr. Gold...

The most surprising thing about Busey and the Beach is the fact Busey accepted to appear as he is depicted in the show: usually that kind of treatment takes place in South Park or Family Guy, not alive-action series, but he seems to ignore it and has great fun mocking himself as much as he possibly can. Once again, though, the crowning moment belongs to Ari, especially when he confronts "Josh Weinf*ck, the lightweight pen-stealing f*ckface". Nice one.
