Game of the doomed.
planktonrules15 December 2019
When the story begins, Paul Nichols kills a member of the Cosa Nostra who was skimming from the mob. While Nichols also is a member of this criminal organization, the mob is furious because he never went through channels to get approval for the hit...and his days are numbered.

As for Nichols, he's head of the mob's gambling outfit and he's now headed to play a high stakes game of poker in Nevada. He's taking the black book with all the mob's codes and debts with him. So, the mob cannot just kill him but they need to get the book as well. Their plan is to storm this game and kill everyone...leaving no witnesses at all. The problem is compounded because Inspector Erskine will be there at the game!

The premise to this one isn't among the more believable in the series. Once again, a long-time agent is going under cover....and you'd think there would be a very good chance someone will recognize him. And, not surprisingly, it does happen.

So is the show any good despite this? Yes....though it is among the weaker shows simply because this was a major detail that was somehow missed by the writing staff. Good...but a bit weak.
