There have been a series of diamond robberies...and it looks like it might be an inside job.
planktonrules10 February 2021
The story starts off at the train station. A diamond courier has just arrived when he's attacked by a robber. Soon the courier falls to the ground as he's suffering a massive coronary. The thief, sadly, is able to escape.

When Inspector Erskine receives the case, he notes that there actually have been four such recent robberies. And, because of that, it seems likely that there is an inside man offering up the thieves information. Can the FBI manage to stop the robberies, find the inside man AND capture the crooks?

This is a very good episode of the show and I particularly appreciated the guest stars, Lloyd Bochner and Oscar Beregi Jr.. I particularly liked seeing Beregi, as he almost always played scumbags in films, but here he plays an incredibly decent man....a nice change of pace. Overall, well written and exciting.

Well done, fast-moving, above average cast

Warning: Spoilers
Well, I've always been able to count on Lloyd Bochner to come through as the smartly-dressed criminal.

But everyone did a splendid job in their roles. Granted, there were a few less than stellar performances, but who's keeping tabs?

That was a great scene when Inspector Erskine was just beginning to close in on Lloyd Bochner: Bochner's character asked Erskine if he knew of a sure fire cure for a hangover.....and Erskine, as he was leaving the room, answered (with a wry smile), "Stop drinking." The unflappable Erskine met up with a bad guy almost as unflappable in Bochner.

The script was pretty darn good. It even threw in a curve that, toward the very end, hit Bochner like a ton of bricks. Nice job all around.
