Stacey Swain: Cinnamon
Quotes
-
Tootie Ramsey : Cinnamon! What are you doing here?
Cinnamon : Oh, you said I could come visit you any time, so I thought this might be one of those times, so I did.
[little self-conscious giggle]
Cinnamon : Am I disturbing anything?
[took off her coat, exposing bare midriff, much to young Andy's delight]
Natalie Green : Not unless we're standing on a fault line.
Andy Moffett : [his eye candy is holding the coat in front of herself] Can - can I take your coat?
Cinnamon : Oh, thank you.
Andy Moffett : [the coat is now out of the way] Anything else?
Tootie Ramsey : Cinnamon, this is Andy. Andy, go home!
Andy Moffett : [to Cinnamon] I'll be back in the morning. Bright and early!
[goes off]
Tootie Ramsey : And this is Blair.
Cinnamon : Hiya.
Blair Warner : [airily] Hi.
[walks on]
Tootie Ramsey : And of course you remember Beverly Ann and Natalie.
Cinnamon : Uh, no.
Beverly Ann Stickle : Oh, we met backstage with Tootie... during auditions, remember?
Cinnamon : No.
George Burnett : You remember me?
Cinnamon : No.
George Burnett : Good, 'cause we never met. Cinnamon's my favorite spice!
[Natalie tosses a rag at him for being so forward]
George Burnett : I'm George.
Cinnamon : Hiya.
Tootie Ramsey : [interrupting] Hey, how's the show going?
[leads the pretty girl away from the carnivore]
Cinnamon : Oh, fine. It's doing very well. People seem to like it. I've been replaced.
Tootie Ramsey : Oh, no!
Cinnamon : Oh, it's just as well, 'cause I decided to quit show business, and having a part on Broadway would just get in the way.
[chuckles happily]
Tootie Ramsey : You were good. Why would they fire you?
Cinnamon : [shakes her head] Maybe I just wasn't good enough.
[changes subject]
Cinnamon : Hey, I've been looking for a penguin just like this.
[fusses over ornament]
Tootie Ramsey : I don't understand.
George Burnett : Simple. She said she was looking for a penguin just like that.
[to Cinnamon:]
George Burnett : It comes with a clock too. Come on, let me show you.
[leads her off]
-
Tootie Ramsey : [re Cinnamon losing her Broadway part] I still can't believe that they did this to her.
Natalie Green : There are lots of reasons why these things happen. The producer could have had a girlfriend. The director could have had a girlfriend.
[shrugs]
Natalie Green : The investors could have had a girlfriend.
Tootie Ramsey : Well, whatever it was, she can't let this one little setback stop her. I'm gonna go talk some sense into her.
Blair Warner : [with sarcasm] Lots of luck!
[snickers]
Beverly Ann Stickle : Tootie, give her some time. She's been hurt. It's obviously affecting her self-esteem.
Tootie Ramsey : I can't let her throw away her career. Cinnamon! Let's bring your bag inside, and we'll talk over some cookies and milk. I just bought some animal crackers.
Cinnamon : Oh, just milk for me. I'm a vegetarian.
[Tootie drops the suitcase in exasperation]
-
Cinnamon : Hiya! You must be Jo. I'm Cinnamon.
Jo Polniaczek : Cinnamon? Oh.
Cinnamon : Beverly Ann and big George, they showed me all around Peekskill. I love Peekskill. It reminds me of my home. It had a bakery and a bookstore and a little man that fixes shoes. You know, nobody fixes shoes anymore, they just buy them and throw them away. Of course, they wear them in between. But it's really a shame, you know?
Natalie Green : [to Jo] Two more cups of coffee, and that could have been you.
