Kids had easier access to guns when and before Lynn was growing up, as boys were taught how to shoot in Boy Scouts, teenagers had gun clubs in high school, guns used to be purchased in hardware stores with no background checks or waiting periods, and few if any adults who owned guns kept them locked in a safe.
