Got to like the dancing meatballs.

There are some great bits and scenes. The dancing and singing McGuire's meatballs was hilarious. Along with the large birds used as engines for the stone age airplane. Not only does Barney's (Mel Blanc) voice change from episode to episode but his car does too. Here it's a purple one-seater that somehow Fred apparently squeezed into. Jerry Mann is terrific doing various voices most notably the Hollywood producer. The wimpy voiced Bill the original frogmouth was quite funny. Season one episodes are really pulling out some great endings with a lot of big laughs as the episodes wind down. Season one has been mostly very good up until this one.

The Frogmouth

Wilma and Betty enter a contest and win a trip to Hollyrock.

One of Season 1's funniest. Wilma and Betty leave but Fred and Barney miss them so much, they fly out to Hollyrock to join them. Wilma is noticed by a TV producer who hires her for a part in his new show, as the wife of a loud character named The Frogmouth. The voice of the producer (uncredited) sounds like a imitation of Phil Silvers. Funniest scenes are the rehearsal for the show and the actor playing Frogmouth has a tiny meek voice. Fred shows up and starts being his loud and obnoxious self and gets the part, but he starts acting like a star.
