Quotes

  • [Fred and Wilma had just finished dinner]

Wilma Flintstone : [thinking]  Hmm, he's in a good mood. There'll never be a better time to spring the boarder news.

Fred Flintstone : [thinking]  Hmm, she's in a good mood. There'll never be a better time to spring the boarder news.

[Fred and Wilma try talking to each other at the same time]

Fred Flintstone : Hold it, hold it! I got news for you. We're gonna take in a boarder. There's no need in having a spare room that's not being used. Now what have you got to say about that?

Wilma Flintstone : That's a wonderful idea, Fred!

    [Fred is shocked]

Fred Flintstone : Never. Never, never, never, NEVER WILL I EVER FIGURE OUT WOMEN!

  • Fred Flintstone : [while giving Dino a piggyback ride]  Who ever heard of carrying a pet into the house piggyback?

Wilma Flintstone : It's just that Dino loves you so much, Fred.

Fred Flintstone : Yeah, well, I'm gonna train him to hate me a little.

  • Wilma Flintstone : I've got two swiss brontosaurus steaks tonight. Dig in, boys.

Sully : [takes the larger steak]  Excuse me, Mr. Flintstone.

Fred Flintstone : Hey, what's the idea taking the big piece?

    Sully : I'm a growing boy.

Fred Flintstone : Well, you're not gonna grow any older if you pull that stuff.

    [grabs Sully's throat]

Fred Flintstone : Now put that steak back!

Sully : Help! Mrs. Flintstone! He's at it again!

Wilma Flintstone : Stop that, Fred! You'll make Sully late for work.

Fred Flintstone : I'd like to make Sully late for his next birthday.

  • Fred Flintstone : [after meeting Sully]  Wilma. Wilma! Oh, Wilma!

Wilma Flintstone : Uh-oh. The cat's out of the bag.

    Fred Flintstone : WIIILMA!

Wilma Flintstone : Or more accurately, the saber-toothed lion is out of his cage.

Fred Flintstone : Wilma, who is that?

Wilma Flintstone : Uh, who is what, dear?

Fred Flintstone : The guy sitting on our bed, making all that racket.

Wilma Flintstone : Why, that's our new boarder, silly. Don't tell me you can't remember suggesting a boarder.

Fred Flintstone : Oh, yeah. That's right. I did suggest a boarder... but I didn't suggest him!

  • Wilma Flintstone : Are you sure you won't stay longer?

Sully : Uh, no thanks, Mrs. Flintstone. A deal's a deal. Besides, Mr. Flintstone doesn't like me.

Wilma Flintstone : Oh, you're wrong. He just has trouble showing it.

    [Fred and Barney arrive home]

Fred Flintstone : Ah-ha! There they are. Out, you guys! Hit the bricks! Out! Out! Out!

Sully : You're right, Mrs. Flintstone. He has a real tough time showing it.

  • [after winning the contest, Wilma and Betty return home to find Fred and Barney playing the piano and bongo drums]

    Wilma Flintstone : Fred!

    Betty Rubble : Barney!

Wilma Flintstone : What are you doing?

Fred Flintstone : Well, I figured that since you gals won tonight, Barney and I'll be a cinch to win next year's show with the act we'll work up. Hit it, Barney-boy!

    [Fred and Barney continue playing]

Wilma Flintstone : A year of this?

Betty Rubble : Don't worry, Wilma. You'll be dispossessed in a week.

Wilma Flintstone : I can hardly wait.

Wilma Flintstone , Betty Rubble : Men!

  • [Wilma dances over to Fred, serves him a drumstick, and dances away]

Fred Flintstone : Okay, hold it. Hold it!

Wilma Flintstone : [stops dancing]  Yes, Fred?

Fred Flintstone : What's with the floor show?

Wilma Flintstone : Nothing, Fred. I just feel happy.

    [resumes dancing away]

Fred Flintstone : Happy, huh? Let me tell you something, Wilma, if you get any happier, the happy wagon'll back up to the door for you. Come to think of it, I'm happy myself tonight. This is my first meal without Sully around.

    [Sully arrives home]

    Sully : Hiya, Mr. Flintstone.

[Sully rushes over to the table and begins munching on Fred's drumstick, Wilma continues dancing until she hears a loud crash]

Sully : [with a cracked plate on his head]  Mrs. Flintstone! He did it again!
