The Boarders

In need of cash, the Flintstones and Rubbles decide to have their spare room for rent.

Just an OK episode. It starts with angry Fred going over the checking account, Barney gets the same idea when he hears the argument next door, he says Fred and Wilma are having a real "ring a ding".

Wilma and Betty first get the idea of rooms for rent. Two music students show up. One a bongo player and the other a piano player who work at a jazz joint. However they have no money. Wilma and Betty let them stay if they help with their musical act for the Dinosaur Lodge, the first prize is $500.

Fred and Barney also think or boarder idea. There is a funny scene on the Bedrock subway when Fred's rear is stuck in the door. Fred and Barney also get fed up with music playing boarders.

Short on laughs. High on trivia.

Again with the spare room boarders (Daws Butler as Sully, and Don Messick) like the scouts in the previous episode. They just weren't funny. Seems Fred and Barney chuckled quite a bit to fill a flat episode. Sully stealing Fred's food and getting clobbered over the head was a modestly funny highlight. Fred and Barney on the piano and bongos was another mildly funny bit. The true main highlights of the episode were the inconsistencies. Fred driving a car with the steering wheel on the right. Betty's voice coming out of Wilma's mouth when the boarders were kicked out. Fred saying 5 days were left when 10 were marked off made for a 15-day two week period. A weak episode.
