Fred The Hypnotist

Fred tries hypnotism on Wilma but it works on Barney instead.

An OK episode. Fred and Barney want to watch the ball game on TV but the wives are watching a hypnotist, The Great Mesmo. Barney thinks he is a dog, nearly the whole episode is him barking and panting. Most interesting thing is a vet is voiced by Howard McNear (Floyd on "The Andy Griffith Show")

Another hilarious episode.

The Barney being hypnotized to think he's a dog bit was a classic sitcom television masterpiece. One funny scene after another playing off the bit. Amazing writing having Barney play the dog to the hilt. Mel Blanc does a funny slight southern twang dog catcher. The voice he did of the guy who thought he was a jumping bean seemed very near his real one. Howard McNear (Floyd) from The "Andy Griffith Show" was hysterical as the flaky veterinarian. Bea Benaderet and Jean Vander Pyl also did some some clever secondary voices. A very quick ½ hour viewing it went by fast it was so entertaining. Mesmo was one of Jerry Mann's better characters.
