In the narrated opening we are given a summary of the first episode/pilot. Carlos is still deeply moved by seeing a nun fly, thinking it was a sign to change his way of life, and has began attending mass. Carlos' girlfriend Dottie (Arlene Golonka, "Mayberry R.F.D") comes to Sister Bertrille concerned about how he has given up his playboy lifestyle and the sister goes to explain the situation to him. In a poker game, Carlos bets his boat against seeing Sister Bertrille fly. However, Reverend Mother Superior Placido is expecting an important visit from Bishop Dillion (Ivor Barry) and has instructed Sister Bertrille not to fly during his stay. When he threatens to cancel donating needed land to the convent, Sister Bertrille faces a decision.
