With the 33.7 million people watching its original airing, this episode was Frasier's highest rated episode until the series finale audience matched it four years later.
When Daphne and Niles are dancing at the rehearsal dinner, Daphne says, "I love this song." The music playing is "They Can't Take That Away from Me" by George and Ira Gershwin. As they continue to dance, the combo switches to "Our Love Is Here to Stay"--also by the Gershwins.
The episode won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Series.
Martin (John Mahoney) asks the bartender for a beer and he receives a Ballantine's, to which he exclaims, "That's my brand!" He then mentions that Ballantine beer will soon stop being brewed. At the time the episode aired, Ballantine's Brewing was owned by Pabst and, between 1996 and 2000, it stopped brewing all but one of their [sic] lines.
This episode, the last of the season, does not have the usual roster of credits for the season's call-in patients.
