Disney pulled this specific episode from several markets (including in the US) because moral guardians and television advisory groups objected to its content. It has since been added to the DVD collection. It's worth noting, however, that this is not the first time a character is shot on American animated television. The original Jonny Quest (1964) cartoon had at least one person get shot, as did Batman: The Animated Series (1992).
The guns stolen are never fully accounted for. Suggesting they may have been taken by a third party.
This episode sparks Broadway hatred of guns. Explaining why he always breaks them whenever he disarms enemies. While the rest of the clan do it so they don't get hit by a shot with their backs turned, Broadway does it because he views them negatively when handled by evil humans.
