Emily and Richard throw an Yale alumni party.
ltashie9 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The party is actually for Rory to meet new guys because Emily and Richard do not like Dean(Jared Padelecki). When she goes, only Rory's grandparent's friends and their SONS! (Including Logan!) Anyway, she is at first having the worst time, and then she calls Lorelai on her date with Luke, and after the party calls them and has a discussion. A boy walks up to Rory and says, " Apparently, we're made for each other". Then, Logan steps in and wraps his arm around her and says, " Thanks for taking care of my girl. I'm late, and she would be wondering where I am, then get bored and leave. That wouldn't be good, would it?" Then the other guy says, "You two are together?" "Going on 1 and a half years!" Rory wraps her arm around him. The guy leaves and Rory says, " Your a life saver!" Logan grabs the champagne glass and says, " At boring parties like these, we like to make a party of our own! Come on Ace, let's go!" She was having a fun time until Logan says, " So, who's it gonna be?" Rory says, " I don't know, I'll have to ask my boyfriend!Oh no! What time is it?" " 8:45." She goes outside, all the guys behind her, and steps out the door. Dean dumps her, and she starts crying. Logab comforts her and goes back inside. Meanwhile, on Lorelai's date, TJ, Liz's husband comes in talking about Liz, and how women suck, won't go away. Then Liz comes in an they start fighting, and the date is over. Lorelai goes home with a WHOLE cheesecake, and that is pretty much the end of the episode.

Warning: Spoilers
I wrote a huge review and then I erased it by mistake, so since I don't have the patience to write that all over again, i would say: *Emily's actress is really good. But I hate that writers portray her as an harpy, narcissistic snob and hysterical woman with a touch of infantile behaviour... *and that's a treat that lorelei and rory have too!! Nice!!!

*I HATE LIZ AND TJ!! Fast forward everytime they are on.

*why lane is still having "the lane show". I mean, I get that in real life friends grow apart, that aren't forever, specially for women.. but.. why keep on telling her story if rory isn't there?

*Rory, since she got that character, dares to tell her father to not talk or see her mother. And he's boneless, like every male character of GG, so.. *Rory seems fine after breaking off with Dean. Every time someone end a relationship they are great the next episode. SO NOT RELATABLE!!!

*I really don't care about lorelei and luke's relationship. I don't care about his family, his hillbilly backwards baseball cap and his shadow of a beard that make his face dirty. Her parents had all the righ to be upset about that relationship (but pretty stupid to go around and trying to break it, but hey! Lorelei don't choose men the right way! She even got pregnant at 16. I don't know how she did it. I guess it is magic!! -working full time at 16/17 years old and having a baby and be all by herself? Nah, don't buy it) *lorelei and suky: it is not believable they are having so much money to open an inn.

*... they say don't have money.. but suky go ahead and have another baby! Hillbilly decision!

*and don't get me started about suky's husband. His mailbox of a mouth and all the things he does... another dimwit character.

Can't remember more.

So for all that, I give a 1 star.

The end of an era

Warning: Spoilers
When Emily finds out that Rory is dating Dean again, she deems it unacceptable and plans a huge party for Rory full of "eligible" bachelors. Rory is annoyed until she sees Logan and they sneak out to the pool house with other friends and they all drink and are merry.

Rory realizes that Dean should be there any minute to pick her up so when she walks outside, Dean sees her with all the rich guys and breaks up with her. Luckily Logan is there to cheer her up.

Meanwhile, Luke and Lorelai have dinner in Luke's apartment when TJ bursts in, complaining about Liz. Liz finally shows up and it's a big fiasco but it's pretty funny.
