Dorothy wins a $10,000 lottery prize, to keep her ticket safe Blanche puts it in her new rustic leather jacket, unfortunately Sophia gives the jacket to charity, the jacket ends up in the hands of a famous face.
A top three episode for me so far, this really took me back, in the early stages it's an exhausting watch, the girls chasing the ticket down is breathless and exhausting, you feel their frustrations, the second half is incredibly powerful and very moving, what a change in pace and tone.
It seriously does put things into perspective, it goes from being about being comfortable and almost ending up with a bit more, then having a stark wake up call and realising what it is to have absolutely nothing, it's really quite humbling to watch.
Initially it's funny, but it becomes so incredibly moving and sad. Brother, can you spare a dime, that had me in tears.
10/10.
