The script gave me a headache

Cartjos wrote a review for an earlier 4th season episode, complaining that Eva Gabor was given too many ridiculous lines; so much so that it became nauseating.

I didn't agree with that earlier review, but I DO agree with his opinion on this one. The writers simply made Lisa come off as absolute lame brain.

Usually, her quirky takes on life and love are perfect. In this episode, she comes off as so very annoying.....nonstop annoyance.

I couldn't wait for this one to come to an end. I consider it gracious to have given 5 stars.

I just wrote a review of "The Candidate" episode, which aired one or two episodes earlier, where I said the Lisa character was getting so annoying I had to turn the TV off. However, it was this episode that brought me to such an extreme. She is annoying in most episodes, but in small doses is tolerable. The show is great, the cast is great, too much Gabor as Lisa is horrible. I still love the show, but this and the last few episodes have been trying. Jack Benny doing the "Si" skit with Mel Blanc is always funny, Gracie Allen being a dummy is very rarely funny even in small amounts. Gabor as Lisa is like the latter when used too much and too often.

lisa gets annoying even to the farmer with the bull

This episode was based on the premise that Lisa thought of Eleanor as her daughter and wanted to her daughter to marry well. Stupid premise. They had plenty of funny episodes with Lisa, like when she throws the dishes out instead of washing them and when she shows the roadside diner how to make pancakes which also can be used as head gaskets. This episode wasn't funny.
