Caught at cocaine use, attorney Nick Fallin, brilliant heir of senior corporate law firm partner Burton, is condemned to community service in Alvin Masterson non-profit organization for child advocacy. Pissed-off he's forced to waste time needed for a fat business takeover, Nick is assigned without any background to the case of Hunter Reed (6), whose grandparents are expected to be made his guardians as his father, surgeon Thomas Reed, is accused of cutthroat murder on Hunter's mother. Using his talent to cut corners and use loopholes, he works out the doctor's crucial medical history and how to arrange a far better deal for the innocent kid.
