Near the midpoint, Chester is in a fight with one of the bandits. Afterwards Chester rolls off the bandit with hands above his head and nearly on the bandit's arm. The next camera switch shows Chester with both arms to his side and many feet from the bandit.
Near the end as Chester is bareback on the horse trying to get back to Dodge City, you can see the gun belt still on him. Later when the camera shows Matt Dillon riding in to rescue, the camera then shows Chester on the ground without the gun belt.
When Chester mentions the Canadian River, Doc says it's 75 miles from Dodge. Actually, the closest the river comes to Dodge City is 138 miles. The Canadian River rises from Colorado flows south to New Mexico where it turns east and crosses the Texas Pan Handle before entering Oklahoma. In Oklahoma, it empties into Eufaula Lake. So, Doc was off by 63 miles. A long way in those days.
Kitty and Chester were out for a short ride yet it takes days for Chester and the woman escapee to return to Dodge City. Kitty gets back to Dodge City rather quickly.
When Chester is left alone to die, he is lying on a saddle. He is next seen on the horse that was left hidden for him riding bareback. Obviously his head wound was worse than thought if he forgot the saddle. More than likely, Chester was too injured to get the saddle on the horse and strapped down. To get on the horse, he could have walked it near a boulder, fallen tree, etc., so that he could climb on.
