Money's on the wall

The Harts look forward to a nice lunch with Jennifer's friend (Karen Carlson) and her new husband, but her husband suddenly disappears and is shortly found dead. Meanwhile, two men who followed him out of the restaurant next show up in his L. A. apartment and start following who they think is his wife: Jennifer. ( there's a neat chase scene between Jennifer and one of the bad guys)

What follows is some twist and turns, another of the bad man (John P. Ryan) getting run over. Nothing is what it seems, and Jonathan smells a rat. This lively episode ends with an exciting motorbike chase down the pier as the baddie chase him and Jennifer.

Second season debut less than dazzling

The Harts take a trip to New York and accidentally come across a friend who's there and in front of the same hotel. They meet her new husband, and the viewer is led to believe that there's something suspicious about him via the introduction of the bad guys and the sudden exit of her husband after he spots them. This is fairly standard fare, until it's revealed that it's their friend who has the sinister motive, also not an unusual storyline. However, while it's obvious to no doubt most viewers that the "FBI man" who's brought in to work on what is recovery of lost bank robbery money is a phony, the Harts - with a season's worth of sleuthing under their belts - are clueless, then dumbfounded by this discovery. Too bad Max only got a cameo role in this episode, which also felt odd, as he might've helped them! Where the money is found is clever, though, but it's not enough to warrant a higher rating. Lastly, there is a half-hearted attempt to play on their being in New York with the use of the song "New York, New York."

Too much concealer on Jonathan

I don't know why, but Jonathan wears so much concealer under the eyes in this episode. And Jennifer is wearing one of the best outfits here, the black blouse with beige birds on it paired with a beige blazer, black trousers and black pumps. Really wonderful. I would wear that in office today, too. The story is also great and handsome actors, excluding "Gunter Maddox" :)
