A Great Guest Star and Lots of Fun Moments

Lucy's hospital visitors are more interested in meeting her new roommate - Eva Gabor.

Like Eva's Season 1 appearance, this one does not elevate to greatness but is still a cut above your standard HERE'S LUCY episode, with Gabor's over-the-top persona providing most of the humor.

This is much stronger than the Season-opener and ironically was the first one filmed after Ball's skiing accident but held back a week so the Lloyd Bridges show could air (to be fair, they needed that episode to set up the broken leg arc).

R. G. Brown steals the scene as Eva's no-nonsense flamboyant assistant Walter. He also was in charge of the steno pool in Season 4's "Lucy's Replacement" and should have been used more, like William Lanteau was. He makes a great joke about Lucy's hair and Eva's famous wig line.

Lucy sounds especially cute when she calls Harry and makes him play a guessing game to let him know who's in the next bed, "Wanna know who it is?".

Like every other Lucy "hospital" episode, the writers trot out the old folding-bed gag again, but it's more fun seeing Eva be the victim this time instead of Harry/Mooney.

Eva finally blows her stack when Lucy accidentally tosses an expensive necklace out the window. Will Eva forgive her? Worth watching to find out. 7/10.
