On the advice of his psychiatrist, Harry gives Lucy a $50 raise. She is convinced he has ulterior motives for his generosity, and is determined to find out what they are.
This is another lousy episode that is just a variation on the Season 3 episode "Lucy's. Vacation" where Parley Baer also played Harry's shrink Dr. Cunningham.
When the Dr tells him to raise Lucy's salary by $50, Harry faints. There is a clever edit that cuts to Lucy on the floor of the agency when she is told about the raise. Such edits were frequently seen on single-camera shows, but were a rarity on a live show like HERE'S LUCY. The gag is repeated again with Kim and a fourth time when Lucy is seen speaking with Craig on the phone.
The rest of the episode tries to mine humor from Harry's paranoia but it is not very successful. And the shameless writers have Harry getting all wet AGAIN before it all (mercifully) ends.
