Eddie Quillan plays Bart/Tramp that leads the "bums" to push the bus remembering Jonathon from earlier scene. Eddie Quillan played Clyde in the very first scene of Highway to Heaven's first show. He was the Pickup Driver who wouldn't give Jonathon a ride without some kind of payment. "Nothing's Free, Buddy".
Although set in New York, this episode was clearly shot in Los Angeles and on a studio backlot. It also features Richard Mulligan, who had starred in the Little House on the Prairie episode, The Soldier's Return and veteran Hollywood bit- part actor Eddie Quillan , who appeared in many episodes of LHOTP in different small roles and who also appeared in the pilot episode of Highway to Heaven.
Although this episode is supposed to take place in NYC, the show does not shoot at one single NYC location except for the stock footage of Rockefeller Center in the beginning.
Ralph Manza (Charley Carthy) previously appeared in three episodes of Soap (1977), two of which Richard Mulligan (Jeb Basinger) appeared in; he also appeared in Once Upon a Time (1983) in which Michael Landon (Jonathan Smith) was uncredited as the narrator.
