Pulling together for Belker
Woodyanders2 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Belker (Bruce Weitz) is in critical condition after being shot. Renko (top work from Charles Haid) has to tell Daryl Ann (adorable Deborah Richter) that he was unfaithful to her. Russo (an excellent Megan Gallagher) and Flaherty (amiable Robert Clohessy) investigate reports of an escaped lion in a warehouse. Hunter (a fine James Sikking) gets called before the review board a week earlier than planned.

It's great to see everyone hit the bricks and go to bat for Belker, although the ever-renegade Buntz (a fantastic Dennis Franz) once again goes over the line by roughing up a snitch and hence gets thrown off the case by Furillo (an outstanding Daniel J. Travanti), who blames himself for what happened to Belker. Moreover, Jablonski (sturdy Robert Prosky) shows up at the hospital to lend moral support while Robin (sweet Lisa Sutton) does her best to hold it together under extreme pressure.

All Together Now
Hitchcoc6 August 2021
Sadly, Belker lies in a coma in the hospital, having been shot while on a case. Robin is with him as well as his closest friends. Meanwhile, Buntz and the heavy hitters work to find out who shot him with little evidence available. In a secondary plot, Renko continues to be a man of stupid proportions. He sleeps with a hooker and now she is going to extort him. He has to face Darryl Ann, but she lays a surprise on him. What a perpetually thick headed stump. Very tender episode.
