Nifty episode

Warning: Spoilers
Russo (foxy Megan Gallagher) busts football star Raymond Jackson (well played by Keenan Ivory Wayans) for soliciting. This storyline benefits substantially from a sharp turn by Richard Kline as Jackson's super slick lawyer Andrew Resnick.

LaRue (sturdy Kiel Martin) convinces Buntz (the fantastic Dennis Franz) to participate in an annual shooting competition at the police academy. Marshall Bell is pure jerky perfection as reigning champion Cataldo, a cocky SOB who likes to intimidate any potential rivals.

Furillo's (terrific Daniel J. Travanti) brother Joe (an excellent Mike Darrell) asks him for a loan. This story reaches a touching conclusion in which Furillo makes the poignant realization that him and his brother Joe haven't been that close in the past.

Belker (a fine Bruce Weitz) works undercover at a bakery. This story proves to be pretty funny thanks to the hilariously feisty old lady (a spot-on sidesplitting portrayal by Lillian Adams) who works at the bakery.

Hunter is missing in action. Elizabeth Huddle Nyborg makes a welcome return appearance as Hunter's flaky ex-girlfriend Prunella.

The Price of Fame

When a star NFL player is picked up for solicitation, forces move in that would not have been afforded any of us. He is actually a pretty good guy with some demons. Of course, his fame is all that matters to the powers that be. Belker is back in business undercover. Frank's brother hits him up for a loan and a bit of recognition. Buntz gets involved in a shooting contest which is another one of JD's money making schemes.
