- Tiger, the pretty French underground fighter, is going to be executed in Berlin and Hogan's Heroes are to the rescue.
- Hogan learns that Marie Louise Monet, code-named Tiger, a primary underground leader and previously a significant ally of the Heroes, has been captured by the Gestapo. His request to Allied Command to attempt a rescue is outright denied. Hogan personally, plus many others, owe their very lives to this woman, therefor he decides to disobey orders. His crew are initially dead against such an operation; however, they relent and fall into line when he makes it obvious that he'll go it alone. Karl, the local underground contact, makes it known that Tiger will be transported by a train that will be passing through Hammelburg on its way to Berlin and her certain execution. Although she is constantly under heavy Gestapo guard, the Heroes begin to develop a scheme that should secure her freedom.—Harry Tumilson
- At the start, the radio antenna in the flagpole is going up. Hogan sends a message to London. Underground agent Tiger has been captured. Hogan asks permission to rescue her. London says no. Hogan says that less than a month ago, she saved our lives. Hogan wants to find out where they are holding her and to try to rescue her. Newkirk, Carter, Baker, and LeBeau are against it. Hogan says that then he will go it alone. He needs a Gestapo uniform. Baker, Carter, and LeBeau then agree to go along with him; Newkirk then agrees, reluctantly. Hogan says that even the Lone Ranger has Tonto. Newkirk asks who is Tonto? And who is the Lone Ranger?
Newkirk, Carter, and LeBeau are working on Klink's staff car. Newkirk says that LeBeau is polishing underneath the car.
Hogan goes to Klink's office with 'wood alcohol' to show to Klink. This is what the men have been drinking because they do not have beer. Hogan asks for a beer ration; Klink offers cheese and crackers instead. Hogan plants the idea in Klink's head that he needs to call a special formation.
Later, Baker and LeBeau are tossing a softball outside the barracks as Hogan comes out. A special assembly is called. Klink talks to the prisoners, alcohol is against regulations. Just then, Schnitzer and his dog truck come in. Schnitzer takes dogs to the dog pen. LeBeau is pushed forward from behind, objects, and starts a fight. During the fight, a man comes out of the dog truck into the tunnel through the dog house entrance. The fight continues, and 4 guards come. Klink grabs a sub-machine gun and fires it. The men hit the dirt, and the fight stops.
The Underground agent that came in has information on Tiger. He says that Tiger is going to Berlin tomorrow, by train. Hogan wants to stop the train and bring Tiger to STALAG 13. He will keep her here for a while as he needs the Germans to cool off before he sends her to England.
On the train, Tiger is in a stateroom in handcuffs with two Gestapo as guards.
Hogan, Newkirk, Carter, Baker, LeBeau, and the Underground agent come out of the tunnel through the tree stump tunnel entrance. The Underground agent changes the train signal to 'stop'. The train sees it and stops. Carter, as Hauptmann Carterheim of the Hammelburg Garrison, talks to the Gestapo. The Gestapo want the train to proceed; Carter/Carterheim says that the tracks are out. The Gestapo then want to take Tiger to the local Gestapo headquarters; Carter/Carterheim says that the road is mined. Carter/Carterheim shows them a map; they will take her to STALAG 13. The Gestapo gets back on the train; Carter says to reconsider.
Captain Steiger, Gestapo, takes Marie-Louise Monet (Tiger) to STALAG 13. They go to Klink's quarters looking for Klink. Steiger asks for a cell for Tiger; Klink declines. Steiger says that he has orders from Hitler; Klink gives them the cell.
In the tunnel, Hogan talks to the men. Hogan wants Schnitzer to bring the dog truck to Hammelburg. Hogan also wants an exploding briefcase, and orders to join the group.
Later, Hogan and Tiger are in the cooler, kissing. Hogan tells Tiger of the plan.
Steiger gets a phone call, from Newkirk impersonating another Gestapo officer, They will send reinforcements, Hoganburg and Newkirkheim. Newkirk puts Carter on, who tells him in a German accent that the track will be cleared.
The next day, Tiger and two Gestapo get on a train; Hogan and Newkirk also get on. They introduce themselves to 2 Gestapo guards as Hoganburg and Newkirkheim in a stateroom. They are reinforcements. The train leaves the station. Hogan and Newkirk get a drop on the guards. The train stops. Hogan and Newkirk break into the stateroom that Tiger is in, the room next to the guard stateroom that they are in. They gag the Gestapo guards. Hogan, Newkirk, and Tiger go out of the train car through a window, go to Schnitzer's dog truck, and leave. Shortly later, the train blows up. Hogan says that Tiger will soon be on her way to England. Tiger kisses Hogan; Hogan says that the Lone Ranger only hisses his horse. LeBeau says to make an exception in this case; so Hogan kisses Tiger.
At the end, Hogan and Klink are in the compound, with Hogan walking to the cooler. Klink starts to leave, but Hogan says that he has valuable military information. Hogan talks Klink out of putting him in the cooler. Hogan says that he has valuable military information that could win the war: surrender. Klink is upset as Hogan leaves.
