The script called for a gunman to shoot out the windscreen of a police car, but the budget did not have any money for a new windscreen. The effect of the windscreen being shattered was achieved by placing some drafting paper on the windscreen with a hole cut out of the paper and getting actors Leonard Teale and Terry McDermott, sitting in the front seat of the Studebaker, to throw some cellophane lolly wrappers up in the air on a signal, while film sequence camera operator Alan D. Arnold was filming from the back seat.
The song "Three Headed Dog" that Liz Harris, future wife of Leonard Teale, performs was written specially for this episode.
Although Gerard Kennedy is credited as being a car driver, he cannot be seen anywhere in the episode.
