- Det. Mike Kellerman: We've been partners for about four months: you know that I've tried to quit smoking about 50 times, you know all the sordid details about my divorce, you know that I go to sleep every night on a pillow with my favorite cartoon characters, and it never occurred to you to mention that you had a brother named Anthony, let alone a crazy brother.
- Det. Meldrick Lewis: He was always doing that, trying to kill himself. And he saw me and he went to make his move, and ordinarily I'd try and stop him but that time I didn't.
- Det. Mike Kellerman: You let him fall?
- Det. Meldrick Lewis: He broke his hip, broke his collarbone, broke both his legs.
- Det. Mike Kellerman: It's a wonder he didn't kill himself.
- Det. Meldrick Lewis: Yeah, but I wished he did.
- Det. Frank Pembleton: [finding the backseat of a car covered in blood] That's usually the first sign that somebody did something to somebody.
- Det. Megan Russert: [Munch is trying to find out who Kay's boyfriend is] He wrote down the license plate, Kay, he's going to find out.
- Det. Sgt. Kay Howard: Well not from me.
