Like a movie!

Okay, I love this show. And this episode is the best of the first year. A friend of a friend writes for it and says everyone is really nice and it shows!! I guess there are a lot of female writers on the show, and as a writer myself, I can really see the female voice in this show. Yay women in comedy! And yippee to a great, funny and sweet episode! I heard about this show from said friend, and started watching about six in (I have since seen them all on DVD--the episodes are great but sadly a lot of the music is different). The show follows Ted as he embarks on a quest to find his future wife and the future mother of the children that come and go in the show. The kids are listening to the story...I wish my dad had such funny stories to tell me...

Sweetness all over the place

Warning: Spoilers
This is undoubtedly the sweetest and most romantic episode so far. It is the first episode with a complete linear plot and it's amazingly narrated. Generally I struggle understanding certain american social dynamics (i. e. here in Italy it's not that common to look for the love of your life and deciding to marry someone on the first time you see them), but in this case it's a beautiful and bittersweet love story. The ending simply killed be, perfectly written.

My favourite HIMYM episode...

I can honestly say this episode is my favourite how i met your mother episode ever.

First things first, great writing. From the moment the episode starts you find yourself in a mystery of "who is she?" and "how?" and "why?" and then towards the end "aaaaahh!". You are on the tip of your chair waiting, guessing and wondering.

Acting, as well, is amazing. Our beloved characters are amazing as usual. I mean, this is the first season, the actors and actresses are eager, not bored of the show yet, and Ashley Williams (Butter Cup, if I am not mistaken) is just amazing!

The first time I watched the episode years ago when it aired, I remember saying to myself "Please, let her be the mom!"

Not going to spoil for anyone watching it for the first time ever, who might read these comments here on IMDB, though.

Great plot, amazing narration, great acting, great editing.

My favourite ever!

Ashley Williams WOW

If this was the last episode, it would have been a great ending.

Plot In A Paragraph: Ted (Josh Radnor) meets a beautiful woman named Victoria (Asheley Williams) at a wedding and they spend a great time together. Unfortunately, Ted and Victoria made a deal that they will never see each other again after that night and they do not exchange telephone numbers or last names The morning Ted desperately wants to see the girl again. So he starts searching for his mystery girl.

I really liking Ashley Williams as Victoria, she has been my favourite of all of Ted's women so far (including Cobie Smulders as Robin). This is the highest I have rated an episode that didn't feature Neil Patrick Harris's Barney Stinson in one of it's major story lines, and it's because of Williams performance as Victoria. Her character seems lovely and she is a talented actress, who is good looking and she certainly has a great cleavage. I look forward to seeing more of her.

Drumroll, Please (#1.13)

Warning: Spoilers
And so now we g on to see what happens between Ted and the girl he met at the wedding. She really did seem nice when talking to Robin, but all that idea of hers with Ted was incredibly silly. So I don't get what Lily and Marshall thought was great about her for Ted having to go and find her.

I did love though how crazy Marshall was about the cake. He is such a cute character. I don't even want to get married but am jealous of Lily sometimes. And it was his love for cake that helped Ted to find the girl.

So now Robin is into Ted as well. It starts reminding me of Friends when it comes to this. But maybe it won't be for long, not that I didn't like Friends but I want this show to be completely different. That said I think robin would be better with Ted than Victoria
