- TriviaIn real life newspapers the dollar bill contests were typically called "Lucky Bucks." However, the show's main sponsor, Phillip Morris, had a ban on the word "lucky" due to their main competitor Lucky Strike.
- GoofsThe Ricardos' half of the winning Bonus Buck goes to the laundry in the pocket of Ricky's pajamas, and everyone agrees that any costs of getting it back will be paid out of the $300 prize money. Unfortunately, those costs come to $299, leaving only $1. Lucy enters the newspaper office where the prize was awarded, her clothing and hair stiff from falling into the starch vat at the laundry company. In a close-up, we see Lucy holding the remaining $1 bill, but then in the next long shot, she is empty-handed until Fred hands her the bill.
- Quotes
Fred Mertz: [in the newspaper office there is only one minute left to claim the Bonus Buck prize] Now, for the last time, will you give me half the money if I give you half the bill?
Newspaper Seller: For the last time, No!
Fred Mertz: Ahhhhh! Ethel, cancel our subscription.
Ethel Mertz: We don't take this paper.
Fred Mertz: Well, order a subscription and then cancel it!

One Dollar
The lottery episode I call it. I love how they won the one dollar jackpot worth 300 and end up with one dollar by losing 299. Lucy got caught inside the dry cleaning and was squished. I can't help but compare her look to Edward Scissorhands. Got to see the reveal to understand why.
