The song heard while Lucy dances the jitterbug is "Stompin' at the Savoy".
This is one of the very few episodes in which a piano player other than Marco Rizo appears with the Ricky Ricardo Orchestra. The musician is uncredited; he is the same pianist who appears in the audition scenes in Lucy Tells the Truth (1953), accompanying Dorothy Lloyd, the "woman who sings like a chicken".
Lucy comes back after seeing the eye doctor, and her vision has been altered due to eye drops. Ethel calls her Mrs. Magoo, an allusion to the famous cartoon character Mr. Magoo, whose vision was terrible, as played by Jim Backus.
