Lucy with both those cars . . . There isn't anyone else that can pull off the scene. The visuals of Lucy driving the other car then she originally drove tells you enough something went wrong. As she's explaining it I can truly picture it I can see Lucy doing that stunt. I adore this show.

Fred is in a state of shock over losing money in a bad car deal. He snaps out of it when Ricky used the old car for a trade in and buys a new car .
Lucy is determined to learn to drive and Ricky agrees to teach her as he can think of no way out of it!
Her first lesson is a doozy although we don't see it she makes a U turn in the busy Holland tunnel. It causes a traffic back up all the way to East Orange New Jersey! Ricky isn't sure he'll ever drive again!
Trying to teach Ethel they get the new car and Fred's old one stuck together. Efforts to separate them fail and Lucy drives both to be repaired. What happens along the way is another Lucy classic. The script takes advantage of Lucille Ball's many talents including how Lucy tells Ethel what to do if the guys return and find the cars missing.
Part of the problem is Lucy neglected to take care of the auto insurance but it's okay Ricky has it all covered anticipating Lucy's might not have.
I actually find this episode rather underrated it's really something of a classic.
