Underrated Classic

This is another classic episode that isn't mentioned often. This one is great because Lucy is desperate to meet the Queen and gets in Ricky's face to put her on his show. Often times she begs to be on his show, but this is super important he actually caves because he knows this is very important, he doesn't even argue with her.

I love the interaction with the Guard, Lucy, and Ethel because guards at the Palace can't interact. The man just stands there no reaction. And the old man with a heavy English accent talks to them and they have no idea what he said. I love Ethel's line 'we're from America, we don't speak English'.

And the circus act performance is just great.

Warning: Spoilers
The entire episode is about Lucy's obsession with meeting the Queen of England. It's a rather weak beginning to an otherwise stellar arc in Europe.

Lucy tries to see the Queen outside Buckingham Palace. There are some chuckles during that scene.

Finally having no luck Ricky lets Lucy into the command performance he's giving so she can meet Elizabeth the second.

It's amusing enough but this isn't a particularly strong episode. The worst part is Lucy crying like a baby when it looks like she won't get to meet the Queen. Fred has the best attitude about the whole thing but I guess back then it was considered a bigger deal.
