At one point, Lucy says to Ricky, "I wish you never made a movie." This is the first time Ricky's unnamed movie is mentioned since the Ricardos returned from Hollywood.
To introduce the "Trained Horses" act, an insert shot is used showing the London Palladium programme being opened to the evening's bill: "Ricky Ricardo and Company". The cover is a drawing in Art Deco style, depicting dancers, a juggler, a strongman and other circus acts, a generic cover used in the mid-1930s for routine Variety Shows. When opened, the inside front cover (seen partially at the left of the screen) shows an advertisement for T.F. Nash Ltd. homes ("with garage") on offer in Eastcote, a community in the Western part of Greater London, now considered part of the Borough of Harrow. The "Nash Star" company logo can be seen to the right of the picture of one of the homes.
This is the only episode set in Europe that features a number from Ricky's stage show.
