Lucy dressed up as a hot dog vendor is the highlight of the episode. When Bob Hope gets involved it's even funnier.
Ricky arranges secretly for Bob Hope to appear at the club when Ricky becomes the new owner and renames it Babalu . Lucy knows the desire is to get Bob Hope but Ricky wants her out of the negotiations so of course this is what leads Lucy to dress up as a hotdog vendor at a baseball game she is attending with Ethel , Fred and Little Ricky . This leads to Bob Hope missing key plays and getting hit on the head with a baseball.
This all begs the question what comes first the chicken or the egg. Who causes more of this Lucy or Ricky ?
In the end Bob actually sides with Lucy and she appears with Bob and Ricky in the club's opening show.
