Mediocre show

It's a cute episode not my favorite but it is amusing at the end with the women dancers. Fred and Ethel do a duet. I watch for comfort.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm talking about Ricky singing, not the show, an episode that has him suffering from a cold and slowly losing his voice. The show wisely has the opening of the new furniture arrive in, giving continuity from the previous episode, and Ricky ends up locked in the closet because of all the furniture shoved in the living room. Ricky uses a chalkboard to communicate, and in writing in all caps causes Lucy to accuse him of shouting at her, ironic considering what it means now in computer text. Desi Arnaz gets to really act like he has a cold, going from a normal voice to a hoarse voice, quite realistically.

While Lucy starts off as the responsible one in this episode, it quickly changes when she decides that she has to stage the show that Ricky was working on before he got sick, and that means that Lucy will finally end up in the show. While Ricky does gain his voice back to do the show, he's unaware of what Lucy has done, ending up with the most bizarre line of chorus girls he's ever had. Fred and Ethel end up doing a very funny version of "Carolina in the Morning", which causes Ricky to break into fits of laughter while conducting. When Lucy comes out dressed as a flapper, it makes you wish that she had looked like this when she did "Mame", but even though she's beautiful, she still has that singing voice that scares little children. A bizarre episode at best, a little confusing with the varying themes at worst.
