Should be considered a classic!

Ethel and Lucy don't like any of their pictures taken for possible passport pictures. They go to the photographer that took Lucy and Ricky's wedding pictures and still don't like any of them.

Lucy " I don't understand it this is the same photographer that took our wedding pictures fifteen years ago and we looked great! Well I guess they're just not making cameras like they use to!" I like her thinking. Ethel wonders if that's how they really look!

Meanwhile Fred and Ricky go to the ship they are sailing on and Fred gets seasick while it's tied to the dock!

Ricky thinks seasick pills are the answer . Lucy suggest he try some and go for a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. Lucy goes with him as Ethel has to get the luggage from her aunt for the trip.

Lucy it turns out gets even sicker and takes too many pills. She and Fred get so drowsy they fall asleep and Lucy nearly misses getting her passport in time. The scene with everyone trying to help Lucy stay awake for the oath is one of the funniest things ever!

Everyone is solid in this one and Lucille Ball does some of her best work of all in this very underrated episode. I put her work in this episode up against any of the more famous ones.

A favorite episode!

I love this episode ! From start to finish it's easily one of my best episodes of the series.

Lucy and Ethel are not satisfied with their passport pictures but are no happier with the new ones they have taken. The extra time they spend gives them limited time to get their passports on time for the trip.

Ethel has an errand to run and Lucy goes with Fred to ride the Staten Island ferry and test out the seasickness pills. The problem? Lucy gets seasick too and takes too many pills!

Time runs short but it works out but not before Lucille Ball gives one of her best performances and funniest. Desi and Vivian also are in top form. The physical comedy is superb.

Classic comedy

One of my most favourite episodes. Everyone is exceptional in this episode. The scene where they are at the Passport office is one of the finest comedy routines and would go head to head with some of the the more well know episodes. Lucy is perfect in this and her sense of timing outstanding. Let's not forget Desi, when he shows up in the office, only to find Lucy can't wake up because she took to many sea sick pills. He struggles to keep her up and to get her to sign her name on the document. Lucy has no idea what's going on and can't stop wanting to kiss him.... "Not now dear, later later" he tells her. But when he lightly slaps her on her face to try to get her to snap out of it, she gets irritated and tries to hit back only to have her miss him. This routine is so well coordinated but looks like they never rehearsed it. It's just pure magic and never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I've seen it.
