Great episode. It's cool to see young Aaron Spelling in the acting scene. And we see cousin Ernie again who gets the gang out of jail. The square dancing scene is good. The old McDonald had a farm song is good. If only Lucy can let it go with the ticket and leave but No! It's a sitcom. This is a situation comedy. I'm all for it.

A reversal of the episode when Ernie visits NYC

One thing that I like about this episode is that here Ernie is in his element and the Ricardos and Mertzes are the fishes out of water.
Ernie is knowledgeable about the local customs, he's strong, confident and self-assured.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Aaron Spelling in an early acting role. The heavyset sisters aren't treated in a very PC way which is kind of mean but at least they have a moment to shine with a musical number.

If it weren't for the twins

Warning: Spoilers
This is definitely my least favorite episode. I'm not a fan of anything hillbilly to start with but this episode felt like a scene of hee haw. The show starts out ok with Lucy arguing with the hillbilly sherif. They get out in jail for her mouthing off which he deserved. He obviously is uneducated and was jealous of city people and was being a bully. Then cousin Ernie shows up to help and there are a few good jokes despite the annoying voice he uses. The episode then goes sour when these two morbidly obese twins show up and they do this country song and they are entirely off key. It's a pain to listen to. I read that Lucille Ball was impressed with them and gave them a job and I cannot understand why someone sophisticated would hire two overweight females who cannot sing? It's very bizarre. Fred and Ethel are strangely quiet throughout this episode and I feel if they had been more vocal maybe it wounding have been more enjoyable.
